| 토우건축은 1987년 7월, 한국의 현대건축을 이끌어온 건축가 고 김수근 선생의 문하인 신언학과 스텝들로 설립되었습니다. 설립이래 폭넓은 연구와 디자인의 과정을 거치는 수준 높은 설계를 제공하고 있으며, 그 결과 비중있는 작품과 연구실적, 수상경력을 이어오고 있습니다.
토우건축은 건축을 디자인함에 있어, 급속한 발전을 이루고 있는 현대문명의 기술과 개선된 생활방식을 추구하되, 진보의 흐름속에서 잃기 쉬운 인간적인 요구와 인류의 오랜 삶의 지혜가 누적된 과거의 유산들을 소중히 함께 봄으로써 보다 풍부한 인간적인 삶을 이루어내는 환경을 창조함을 기본 이념으로 하고 있습니다. 또한, 건축의 아름다움과 기술적인 안정성, 편리함, 경제성들이 균형을 이루는 디자인을 하여 항상 건축주에게 최선의 성과를 제공하도록 노력하고 있습니다.
Tow Architects & Associates was founded by Eon-Hark Shin (who had been studied architecture under the late Soo-Geun Kim, the leading architect of Korean Modern Architecture) and staffs in July, 1987. Since then, we have provided designs of high quality through wide range of studies and design process. Consequently, we have done important works and studies, and awarded.
Our design philosophy is to create human environment which provide more abundant lifestyle. Not only accepting the rapidly developing technology but also considering the human demand which can easily be lost in the flow of the progress, and the inheritance of the past which has been accumulated with the wisdom of the human history.
